Key Control Items
(1) The type and quality of the facing tiles must comply with design requirements. Inspection method: Visual inspection; check material quality certificates and test reports.
(2) The bond between the finish layer and the base layer must be firm, with no hollow spots (delamination). Inspection method: Tap lightly with a small hammer.
General Items
(1) The tile surface shall be clean, with clear patterns and consistent color; joints shall be smooth, uniform in depth, and straight along the edges. Floor tiles shall be free from defects such as cracks, chipped edges, or broken corners; precision cuts around fixtures shall be tight and aesthetically pleasing. Inspection method: Visual inspection.
(2) The width and depth of tile joints and the color of grouting materials shall comply with design requirements and relevant standards.Inspection method: Visual inspection and measurement with a steel ruler.
(3) The surface of skirting boards shall be clean and uniform in height; the bond shall be firm, and the projection from the wall consistent. Skirting board joints shall align with adjacent wall or floor tile joints (continuous alignment or staggered alignment as specified). Inspection method: Visual inspection, tapping with a small hammer, and measurement with a steel ruler.
(4) Joint widths for stair treads and step tiles shall be uniform, with neat edges and corners; the height difference between adjacent treads in a flight of stairs shall not exceed 10 mm; anti-slip strips shall be straight. Inspection method: Visual inspection and measurement with a steel ruler.
(5) The slope of the tiled floor surface shall comply with design requirements, ensuring proper drainage without back-slope or ponding; connections at floor drains and pipe penetrations shall be tight and secure, with no leakage. Inspection method: Visual inspection, water pouring test, slope gauge check, and water retention test.
(6) Permissible deviations for floor tile installation.
